Two companies hold most of Glasgow’s Michelin list, and what to order at each table
Six of Glasgow’s nine starred and Bib Gourmand tables belong to two groups, and this guide picks the dish and the cheapest sitting at every one.

A plate of cod cheeks with chorizo and morcilla on toast costs £9.50 at Ox and Finch, and a tasting menu at UNALOME costs £155. Both are on Michelin’s Glasgow list, which this year holds two one-star restaurants and seven Bib Gourmands, the guide’s mark for good cooking at a moderate price.
Six of those nine belong to two companies. Scoop Restaurant Group runs Ox and Finch, Ka Pao, Margo and Sebb’s, the last two in the same Miller Street building. The team behind Cail Bruich also runs The Clarence. UNALOME, GaGa and Angeethi are independents.
How we chose: every Glasgow restaurant with a Michelin star or Bib Gourmand in the 2026 guide, priced from its own current menu.
The two stars
Lorna McNee’s Cail Bruich on Great Western Road serves a tasting menu and nothing else, and has held its star since 2021. Harden’s ranks it 68th in the UK for 2026 and calls it “arguably Scotland’s best and most consistent Michelin entry”; in May the Incorporation of Maltmen gave it their first Best Restaurant award. Go at lunch on Friday or Saturday for £100 rather than £140 at dinner, and tell them early about diets: the kitchen cannot do vegan or allium-free. This is the birthday booking. Great Western Road, by the Botanic Gardens · lunch £100, dinner £140 · closed Sun–Mon · book
Graeme Cheevers opened UNALOME on Kelvingrove Street on 2 June 2021. The current tasting menu runs from cured North Sea hamachi through roasted Orkney scallop and a Scottish blue lobster dumpling to St Brides Farm duck, at £155, with a £20 cheese trolley on top if you want it. The lunch menu at £60 is the cheapest way into either Glasgow star, and the one to book for a first visit. Kelvingrove Street, Finnieston · lunch £60, tasting menu £155 · Thu–Sun · book
Bib Gourmand
Down a flight of stairs under Margo, Sebb’s won its Bib five months after opening, and Alisdair Shaw of Sebb’s took the guide’s Exceptional Cocktail Award in February. Have the malt and miso old fashioned at £12 with the chalkstream trout ceviche at £9.50; the half chicken off the fire is £35 to share. Grace Dent’s Guardian review on 27 September ran under the headline “A delicious bombardment of continents, cuisines and cultural trickledowns”. Miller Street, Merchant City · cocktails £10–£12 · kitchen daily 12–9.45pm · walk-ins welcome, drinks-only bookings
Upstairs, Margo is the family table of the group: a kids’ menu runs £4 to £7. Adults should order the skate wing with ‘nduja beurre blanc at £18. Time Out gave it four stars out of five in July. Miller Street, Merchant City · skate wing £18 · daily 12–10pm · book, counter seats bookable
Ox and Finch opened on Sauchiehall Street in 2014, making it the longest-serving of the city’s Bibs, and was refurbished in 2025. The cod cheeks are the plate to start with; small plates top out at £16.50. Book well ahead. Sauchiehall Street, Finnieston · cod cheeks £9.50 · book
In the basement of a 1900s garage on Vinicombe Street, Ka Pao has cooked South-East Asian food since 2020, after a residency at SWG3. Order the corn ribs with salted coconut, shrimp and lime (£8) and the fried chicken with fish sauce caramel (£10). The weekday lunch menu, noon to 4pm, is £21. Botanic Gardens Garage, West End · lunch £21 Mon–Fri · book
The Clarence on Hyndland Road is the Cail Bruich team’s pub, with a bar on one side, a dining room on the other and a dry-aged grill over fire. The chicken schnitzel is £19; the 220g Ayrshire beef fillet, at £41, is the grill’s showpiece. Hyndland Road, Hyndland · schnitzel £19 · Mon–Tue from 5pm, Wed–Sun from noon · book
The guide describes GaGa in Partick as “an enjoyable slice” of South-East Asian cooking, drawn from Malaysian, Thai and other kitchens, in a former butcher’s shop that kept its original glazed tiles. It has no menu prices online, so ask for the day’s curry. Dumbarton Road, Partick · kitchen Wed–Fri 5–9pm, Sat–Sun 1–9pm · book
Out in Cardonald, about 7 km west of the centre, Sagar Massey’s Angeethi won its Bib within six months of opening, the first Indian restaurant in Scotland to get one, according to its chef’s launch announcement for his second place. The inspectors single out the Old Delhi murgh makhani and, for pudding, the rabdi faluda. Paisley Road West, Cardonald · menu prices not published online · closed Mon, Tue–Wed 4–9.30pm, Thu–Sun 12–9.30pm · book by phone
The cheapest way into each tier: lunch at UNALOME for £60, or the corn ribs and a weekday lunch at Ka Pao for £21.
Checked October 2026.
