Bucketdish is a shared diary of what people eat. These terms are the licence under which you use the Bucketdish app and website. By creating an account you agree to them. They sit beside our Privacy page, which says what we keep and how to have it deleted.
Bucketdish was called Forkhop until September 2026.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older to use Bucketdish.
- Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is posted from your account.
- One person, one account. Do not pretend to be someone else, or to speak for a restaurant you do not run.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
Bucketdish has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not post, in a bite, a photo, a dish name, a note, a comment, a list, your name, handle or bio, anything that is:
- hateful, or that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sex, gender, sexuality, disability or age;
- harassment, bullying, threats, or encouragement of self-harm;
- sexual or pornographic, or violent or gory;
- unlawful, or that promotes something unlawful;
- spam, advertising, scams, or deliberately false reviews;
- someone else’s private information, or a photo of someone who has not agreed to it;
- not about food — Bucketdish is for what you ate and where.
Text is checked against a filter before it is posted, and some of it will be refused. That filter is a floor, not a ceiling: content that gets past it can still be removed.
Reporting and blocking
Every bite, comment and profile has a Report option, and every profile has Block. Blocking someone hides you from each other, removes any follows between you, and removes their likes and comments on your bites. We review every report within 24 hours. Where content breaks these terms we remove it, and we remove the account of anyone who posted it — permanently, for abuse. You can also write to hello@bucketdish.com and say what and where.
Your content
You own what you post. By posting it you give Bucketdish a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store it, show it to other people in Bucketdish, and use it to work out ratings, flavour profiles and recommendations, for as long as it is on Bucketdish. A dish name you add becomes part of that restaurant’s shared menu. Delete a bite and its photos go with it; delete your account and everything in it goes, as the Privacy page describes.
Using Bucketdish fairly
- Do not scrape, bulk-download or automate the app or its API.
- Do not try to break, overload or get around its security or its limits.
- Do not use it to build a competing service or dataset.
Restaurant information
Places come from OpenStreetMap contributors and from people using Bucketdish. Ratings and reviews are opinions of the people who wrote them, not ours. Opening times, prices and menus change; check before you travel.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Delete account. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, with or without warning where the breach is abuse.
The legal part
Bucketdish is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate but cannot promise it always will be. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for what other people post. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for Bucketdish or its content.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
