Bucketdish in one paragraph.

Most menus have no pictures. Bucketdish is a community of food lovers who photograph the dishes they eat and say how they were, so you can see the plate before you order it. Each post is a Bite: one dish, a photo, a verdict (Loved it, It was fine or Not again), a line on how it was and how it tasted. Once enough people have eaten a dish, it gets a crowd score out of 10. Bucketdish also learns each person’s palate from what they post and shows how well a dish suits them, from 0 to 100. People follow others whose taste they trust, keep a bucket list of dishes to try and build a map of everywhere they’ve eaten. Our team also writes stories, starting in the North East. It’s free, with no ads, and it doesn’t sell anyone’s data.

Bucketdish: one word, capital B in a sentence, all lower case in the logo.
Say it
BUCK-it-dish.
In one line
The menu has no pictures. We do.
What it is
An app for knowing what to order on a menu with no pictures: dishes with photos, verdicts, a crowd score, flavours and a palate match, all from diners, plus a bucket list, a map and stories from our team. Diners rate dishes, not restaurants.
Stories
Written by our team and bylined “Words by Bucketdish”, starting in the North East. Each has a credited cover photo, and those photos illustrate the story: they don’t show the places it names.
Launched
Bucketdish is in testing ahead of its public launch. The app still shows some sample Bites we made while building it, and they go before we launch properly.
Formerly
Forkhop, until September 2026.
Price
Free. No ads.
Platforms
The iPhone app is being tested on TestFlight and isn’t in the App Store yet. Join the waitlist for the launch. Google Play to follow.

Based
In the UK.

Screenshots.

Each screen comes in light and dark, as a 780 × 1688 PNG.

Our mark is the bd monogram: a bucket, a d and a dish drawn as one shape. Use the horizontal logo wherever it fits, the stacked one in a square, and the mark alone where space is small. Every file is an SVG and a transparent 1024-wide PNG.

Using it.

Clear space
Leave room on every side at least as wide as the stem of the d, at whatever size you use the logo.
Smallest size
On screen, the horizontal logo at 160 px wide, the stacked logo at 120 px wide and the mark at 48 px tall. In print: 30 mm, 20 mm and 8 mm.
Grounds
Full colour on white and light grounds, reversed on ink, and the white one-colour logo on orange or on a photo. Never the full-colour logo on orange.
Leave it be
Please don’t recolour, stretch, rotate or outline it, change its gaps, or set the name in a font. The name is drawn as outlines, so use the files rather than typing it out.

Colours.

Orange, ink and white, in big blocks. Text on orange is always ink. The photos bring the rest.
